17" MacBook Pro Battery

My 17" MacBook Pro Battery has swelled to over double its original thickness. The system is 18mths old.
I am running 10.4.10 and have always kept the updates current. Has anyone else had these problems? Are they the same issues as for the recall on the 15" machines? -

Assuming that this is not a joke, now is the time to stop using it, and preferably, take it outside where it won't burn anything dowm. Those batteries have given up the ghost in some spectacular ways.

I'd get in touch with Apple. There is a known issue with these batteries

in this very circumstance (swelling), Apple exchanges it as long as your MBP is less thant two years old. I just dit it *yesterday*
