I bought a Apple iPod Dock Connector to FireWire Cable (M9127G/A) to connect my new iPod video to my car charger. I just want to use it for charging and know that it doesn't work for data transfer. The car charger has a male end as does the M9127G/A. Is there any whay to hook them up short of cutting the wire and splicing? I need an adapter with 2 female ends. Any suggestions appreciated?
thanks

I assume that your charger is meant to hook into some sort of "dock" that has a female firewire jack on it... Put the ipod into the dock and plug the charger into the dock. The Apple cable is not meant for that application. What does the maker of your charger recommend?
