Cpu Sleep is ending my internet connection?

I have a dsl internet connection. Normally when I am connected to the internet, and my computer goes to sleep, the internet will still be connected. But all of a sudden today, when ever I leave my computer idle and it falls asleep, it disconnects me from the internet. Does anyone know what might have set this off? And is there a way to correct this? My energy settings are the Same as usual. Which is to sleep after 1 minute of inactivity.
