iPod Photo 60gb won't wake up after being forced to sleep by holding play (hardware) button

I just upgraded my iPod with the 2005-06-26 (4.2). I was listening to some podcasts and assumed they were causing this... but I don't think that's true. If I let my iPod fall asleep (leave it in paused for a few minutes) it wakes right up with a click of a button... BUT, when I click and hold the play button to put it to sleep (functionality I love(ed) along with click and hold the menu button to force on/off the backlight)... it will not wake up until I reset the iPod (hold both the menu and the back/middle buttons for like 6-ish seconds).
Anyone just start seeing this with this most recent iPod Updater?

All right... I just had the "no wake up" happen when I let the device fall asleep by itself too. BUT, it was happening EVERY time when I forced it to sleep with the Play hardware button and this was the first occurance in probably 12 times in the past 24 hours when I just let it time out.

Yikes! Now I'm getting reboots of my iPod just from selecting some podcasts - it will just reboot.

I just experienced the same thing with a 60GB ipod. Thanks for your post, otherwise I never would have known how to reboot. Definitely a bug.

Same subject as an older post...
I think I've noticed less "automatic resetting" of the iPod when I have shuffle and repeat off... weirdness I know but just thought I'd share.

DEFINITELY turning off 'repeat' functionality stops the "resetting" functionality of my 60GB photo iPod when dealing with podcasts.
No repeaty == no (less) crashy
Download Power Manager and start saving.
