Lombard not holding date/time?

  1. OK, my Lombard/400 was not holding date/time (kept getting the startup warning "Your Macintosh's clock is set to a year before 1973...). So I ordered and installed a brand new parm battery, set the control panel, and it's *still* not holding the date/time (same startup mesage). Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    MK

  2. At a guess, I'd say you might need to reset the PMU and possibly zap the PRAM.

If that doesn't work, is it possible the battery was installed backwards?

  4. It shouldn't be possible as the connector is keyed, unless put in with quite considerable force.

  5. Did you test the voltage on that "brand new" pram battery before putting it in? m.
