Can anyone post their personal experiences with the battery life on Apples 15/17inch display, Intel dual core based laptops?
Thanks..Dave

3-3.5 hours on a 15-inch MacBook Pro, depending on how I'm using it.

That is about how I will use mine. Maybe no bluetooth but that isn't much power.
It looks like I should get an additional battery.
I am still deciding between the 15" or 17" laptops.

If you need 4+ hours, yes.
I am still deciding between the 15" or 17" laptops.
The main differences as I see them: the 17" is heavier and has the better sound, and I do enjoy the additional screen space. I guess when you are working with pictures, page layouts, coding etc you'll like the 17" (unless you get an additional display for that) - I you are looking for highest portability the 15" is better.

3.5 - 3.75 hours from my 15" MacBook Pro......
There are lots of variables that influence battery life which are under the control of the user - I suspect there will be a fairly wide variance in individual experience because of that......

Yes so true. Turning down the display backlight can be very helpful on saving power.
