Have a G4 Powerbook with OS 9.2.2. Has recently refused to stay asleep longer than 1-2 seconds when using the menu command. Need suggestions for resetting or troubleshooting.
Thanks, JB

Do you have any external devices connected, especially to a USB port? Changes in state of USB will wake up a sleeping computer, and one of your peripherals might be triggering a wakeup.
Other than that, a hardware problem or power management unit issue seems most likely. You might need to reset the PMU.
For detailed instructions on how to do that, we'll need to know exactly which PowerBook G4 you have.

Thanks for your reply. Did disconnect all external devices (connection with DSL modem). The model is a 2002 Titanium Powerbook with 800 MHz microprocessor. Thanks in advance for farther help.
