PB Ti when on Battery Power

Still learning about my PB G4 Ti.
Noticing differences when PB is in sleep when on battery versus AC power.
When PB is on battery power and in sleep mode the router shows that router port as inactive.
But, when PB is on AC power and in sleep mode the router shows that port as active.
Is that difference as it should be?
Thanks.

My guess is that the "energy saver" settings for AC include "wake PB for administrative access" checked (enabled). This means the powerbook's ethernet is waiting for a WOMP to allow remote admin. That setting cannot be enabled in battery mode.
Also, please include an email address so we can write you back privately. It's a waste of public resources if all I needed was clarification of your question.
Just another Usenet curmudgeon (since 1980 when it all started),
