How secure is power-line-based Ethernet? Does it hose up radios and such? I'd think that it would "radiate like a banshee" as one of my former coworkers used to say.

A former residence house had cement floors and many metal beams. Dropping wires from the attic meant cutting holes in the wall. Instead I looked into power- and phone-line ethernet.
I went with phone instead of power. Don't remember if that decision was based on cost or if (at that time) phone was slightly more secure. Don't remember. Sorry. I do remember that both had security issues at that time. This was 5-7 years ago - I have no idea if they've improved security since then or not.
Aside: The phone-line network worked okay. Slow but all home networking was pretty slow back then. Connection was stable with rare drops and no interference with regular phone use. The hardware was D-Link. Don't remember the model.
