PowerBook WON'T charge battery (Pismo G3 PB)

The title pretty much says it all. The both expansion bays on my Pismo G3 PB won't charge battery.

When I push the button on the battery the LEDs blink and that's pretty much it.

Has anyone else faced this?

Any fixes?

A good chance your battery is dead. Borrow a battery. I assume you can operate from wall power, if so, that means at least that your converter is good.

If you do decide to spring for new batteries, I have two of the extended life made by Newer Tech... and with Panther and Airport, get about 6 hrs life.
