1. 24" iMac, Leopard

What might cause the machine to sleep when it is set never to sleep?

    TIA

  3. Cursor position or keystroke set to make it sleep?

  4. I assume you know the difference between the computer sleeping and the screen sleeping, and that the power button light pulses slowly when the Mac is asleep. (Or has that been changed on current Macs?)

Did you check the Energy Saver -> Schedule options? Maybe you have it set to sleep at a certain time every day.

  5. Yep.

Maybe you have it set to sleep at a certain time every day.

    Nope.

    Thanks,

  6. Does it logout first? I think I had something similar to this happen before when I had the option to logout after some period of inactivity enabled. Worth a check anyway.

  7. Overheating, UPS shutdown signal, pushing the power button, or a program asking Finder to initiate sleep.
