Problem with seeing cursor after sleep?

I've noticed that when my PB (12") has been in sleep mode with no attachments, when I then attach a USB keyboard with (kensington) mouse, I can't see the cursor when the computer wakes, regardless of whether I use the mouse or trackpad. The cursor function is there- it's just that it is 'invisible.' The only fix I've found is to restart. This problem has only occurred since I upgraded from 10.3.5 to 10.3.8- I've not changed anything in my setup. Has anyone else had this problem?

Variations of this have been reported.
My variation is after accidental disconnection of the second monitor. Usually another one fixes it. First seen in 10.3.7.

I 'move' the invisible cursor up to the menu bar, and along to the displays panel which I have there- select 'detect displays' and I can see the cursor after that.

I'll try your solution. It certainly beats my solution which was to open the PB to wake it up then plug in the external monitor. Only problem with my solution is that you have to leave it open with the displays mirrored. If you shut the screen, the cursor on the external monitor disappears again.

Ooh! That is sly! I guess you could do the same using all the keyboard nav tricks to the system pref. (rummage) Yep!
I'll try that next time my cursor pointer goes 100% transparent. Thanks.
