Being a total newbie at these things, I'm rather proud of having got my Airportless mini (running Panther) set up with a Netgear USB wireless adapter and the Realtek driver. But the mini tends to drop the connection when it wakes from sleep. (I expect it dropped the connection when it *went* to sleep, but you know what I mean.) I can re-establish the connection by physically disconnecting the adapter and reconnecting it. But is there a way of doing this virtually, via the keyboard? I mean, of course there is, but could someone please tell me what it is? Thanks.

If your network Location is set to 'Automatic' then you may find it helps to create a named Location and to use that.
Not sure why this works, but it used to.

Doesn't work for me, unfortunately. Surely there must be a simple way -- after all, if the mini had an Airport card, physical connection and reconnection wouldn't be an option. Or doesn't the problem occur with an Airport card?

If you physically disconnect and reconnect a USB device, I believe it reloads the driver. So that could well be it.
USB and networking don't seem to work very well together.
