Scheduler Unreachable
A scheduler unreachable notice indicates Power Manager's Scheduler is running but not able to accept connections.
Power Manager will show Scheduler Unreachable when the application can not communicate with the background Scheduler.
Typically, the error encountered is Could not connect to the server.. This error suggests something is blocking the connection.
Power Manager uses encrypted local-host only networking to talk between the Scheduler and the application. The connections are restricted to start and end on the computer, and never leave your computer.
Things to check:
- If you use network blocking or filtering software, you must configure this software to allow Power Manager to work. Even if the network software is set to observe only, bugs and subtle errors in the implementation can cause problems.
- If you use a VPN, make sure local connections remain on your Mac.
- Restart your Mac in safe mode.
- Re-install Power Manager using the packaged edition; this will ensure all the required files are present in the correct location.
If you continue to see the Scheduler Unreachable, please get in touch via e-mail support@dssw.co.uk.
Between v5.0.0 – v5.10.3, the message Connection Disrupted is shown when Power Manager’s application has determined the Scheduler’s process
uk.co.dssw.powermanager.pmd is running but is not accepting network connections.
