I use a cable modem which works well except for one problem. When waking up from sleep it seems unable to reestablish my network conection via TCP (I still use 9.2.1). When I try to close my browser it then causes my computer(a G4 tower) to freeze.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Is AppleTalk on when it doesn't need to be? I never had it crash, but it used to hang for some long, troubling moments.

I've had this happen tome a couple of times on a G3 running 10.1 Try waiting about a minute after the machine wakes up. The network connection is dormant during sleep and I believe its takes a little time to reestablish the connection on wakeup.

To restablish connection, you could also "reset" your modem by going into the TCP/IP control panel/options, making it "inactive," closing it (save changes), then opening it and making it active, closing and saving changes. Works for me.
