Energy Saver setting grayed out?

The Shutdown option in Energy Saver on my PowerBook G4 17" is grayed out. This happened before and then stopped.

Help!

TIA

Do you mean in System Preferences > Energy Saver > Schedule? If so, the "Shut Down" menu will appear grey (disabled) until you:

* unlock the Energy Saver panel with administrator credentials
* check the checkbox next to the "Shut Down" menu in the Schedule sheet

Thanks but, yes, I am the administrator, the ES panel is unlocked but "Schedule" has Start Up settable but Shut Down disabled.

Oops! Problem solved. I locked and then unlocked the ES panel and was able to use Shut Down.

LOL! Whatever works!

Thanks.
