Don't restart.

Have you tried re=seating the logic board (probably where hte battery is located)

There was some note on Apple site concerning resetting the PMU. It said to be VERY CAREFUL to press the PMU button only ONCE or otherwise PMU is left in a corrupt state and can drain the PMU battery in a day rather than 3-5 years.

It is possible something like this is happening with your batteries & PMU. Another new battery and trying reset PMU carefully again is all I can suggest. Checking all connectors & reseating removable parts is also a good idea as previously suggested.

I had some slight corrosion on the battery contacts (on motherboard) on an older G4 which I cleaned up and reset the PMU and it has worked fine ever since.

I also have had several instances of thunderstorms (with G4s turned off through a powerstrip but still plugged in) in which my G4 933 would not start and had to have the PMU reset. It too has worked fine ever since.

Good luck Morenuf
