will the power-on button start up the computer, like it does on older Macs?

Hello all -

If I replace the Apple keyboard that came with my g4/1.25 with a 3rd-party USB keyboard that includes a power-on button (such as the MacAlly "iMediaKey"), will the power-on button start up the computer, like it does on older Macs?

Or will I still have to push the button on the front of the g4?

Thanks,

With my 1.25 MHz MDD G4 and Kensington Mechanical Keyboard, I can use the power button on the keyboard to shut down but not to start up.
