Has anyone got a dead 'book PSU?

I've got an iBook Power supply that's got a broken 'plug' at the end that plugs into the iBook.

The rest of it's OK, it's just the central prong that protrudes furthest into the 'boko that's lost it's end. (Lord knows how, I suspect the wire got wrapped around a passing cat/dog/child/wife, and jerked out of the laptop, breaking the end off).

So, has anyone got a defunkt ibook (or Powerbook) Power Supply that they no longer need? If so, I'd be really, really grateful for the wire with the plug on the end, so that I could splice it onto my own wire.

I'm happy to pay, (as long as it's less than the cost of a whole new PSU!!)

Peter.

Which iBook -- clamshell or later? What does the psu look like? There are different size plugs.

I was hoping you wanted the other end, then I could have helped :) I too have a plugless iBook PSU (from a G4, 45W). I was going to buy a SmartDisk airline connector cable, it looked like the cheapest way to get the right plug. £22 from Gordon Harwoods, but undoubtedly similar stuff is available from other manufacturers and vendors. In the end they didn't have stock and I needed a PSU ASAP, so I bought a full replacement.

You can get the whole PSU from ebay for similar money though, item 6751378945 is £17 Buy It Now.

I thought from Clamshell/tonkabook onward they were all the same - a sort of co-ax connection, with a central male pin extending 1-2mm beyond the outer case. It's the same connection in powerbooks (at least since the Pismo).
