Does an iMac G5 consume some minimum power when switched off but plugged in?

I came across a figure from someone who tested using a wattmeter. He saw a draw of 1 W, that is used to maintain the PRAM settings and keep track of set power on times.

I've measured several computers with a wattmeter and that number is typical. That power also provides the startup signal to the power supply.
