when I plug my ipod mini in to charge via usb it does fine until I unplug it. When I unplug it, it will sometimes continue to say its charging even though I have taken out the charger. usually its supposed to when its done charging and still plugged into the usb it will tell me when it is done charging showing a lightning bolt next to the battery bar saying its charged, and when I take out the charger from the ipod it will still say charged even though I have taken the ipod away from the charger. I also charge it sometimes for a long time but it will only last without dying for 10 minutes, I then have to recharge it all over again and the same thing might occur.
Thoughts? Is this the way batteries die?
This was a defect in some mini batteries. A friend of mine cntacted Apple about it and Apple replaced her mini for free although it was over a year old and she did not have Apple Care. It's worth a try if your mini isn't ancient.
