Aha. That's what I'm after as well; my sister-in-law's MacBook has died (I know, I know, the zoaran curse returns again) after 15 months. I saw this in the dead tree Guardian but forgot to keep it.
There's also - as mentioned in the article, and incessantly by me - the Sale of Goods act (which is more than two years; a "reasonable time", usually interpreted a six years).

Still struggling here; Apple seem determined to fight to the death or until you give up...
