Hello,
I've searched this newsgroup, Google, and Apple's website, but cannot find answers to the following questions:
+ Is USB 2.0 supported on a PowerMac G4 (Sawtooth)
running MacOS 9.2.2
+ Are there any USB (1.0 or 2.0) cards that support
the "deep sleep" mode?
+ If there are no "sleeping cards", can I use a hub to attach more devices, but still get sleep mode?
I purchased an Adaptec USB2 Connect 5100 and after getting it home, the fine print *inside* the box tells me that the card will only give me USB 1.0 performance and it will disabled "deep sleep" mode. I can live with USB 1.0 performance (although, I could have bought a cheaper card for that). But the lack of deep sleep mode makes the card unusable. I'm not about to bootup/shutdown my computer every time I use it.
TIA,
Kevin Cundiff
