Sleep Mode: Can bad things happen?

Message #1 - Posted 2004/10/02 - Repeating Rifle

If my Mac running 10.3 is in sleep mode, is it possible for privacy to be violated while remaining connected to the internet via DSL?

Your privacy will not be compromised while the machine is asleep. If something happens to wake the machine up, all bets are off.

(But, frankly, the odds are still in your favor as a Mac owner.)

Standard output is like your butt. Everyone has one. When using a bathroom, they all default to going into a toilet. However, a person can redirect his "standard output" to somewhere else, if he so chooses. - Jeremy Nixon
