I have an iMac 500 with OS 9.2/OSX.0.4 When I put the computer to sleep and then try to wake it, it freezes and the only way is to pull the plug and then reboot. When I start it in OSX and put it to sleep it wakes fine. Any ideas

Why do you have to pull the plug? There is a reset button on the side panel, where you plug in the cables. It's near the bottom with a small arrow.

That way is surely easier, and perhaps safer, than cutting the power.

Go to 9.2.1 and be sure to apply the latest boot rom (firmware) updater too.
