Slow from Wake Up

Message #1 - Posted 2008/01/02 - Lynn W

My son has started to have a problem with his Macmini with external firewire hard disc. It sometimes takes a minute or so to wake up from sleep and then it will fail the next time you try to put it to sleep after having the 'whirling ball' it remains with a blue screen and has to be forcibly shut down. Has anyone else been having this trouble and found an answer to it please.

You'll probably need to check the console logs - one of them will have a list of sleep/wake events and it should list which processes are having problems shutting down or waking.
