Hi, can anyone help me with a simple problem. I am a new mac user and have an imac running osx and whenever I start up the initial sound (which occurs during start up) is really loud. It doesn't seem to matter if I have lowered the volume when I previously turned it off. I am sure there is a simple fix for this. Anyone help?
(Of course I could have fixed this on my old pc....... but I have to confess in every way macs are superior to pc's)
