Tibook battery reset?

Message #1 - Posted 2005/07/03 - Tom

I have a Tibook battery that lasts for around 3 hrs but it stays on 98% for the first 2, then goes down to 0% for the remaining hour or so until it dies.

Is there any way to reset it? I have seen one for G3 powerbooks but not for the G4.

Thanks
Tom

Check the group's archives for battery-related messages from 'Peter Renzland'. He's got a battery reset procedure that has apparently been reasonably successful for those who've used it.

Note that you battery may very well be at the end of its useful life; in that case, no amount of 'resetting' will help. Do some reading in the group's battery threads and you'll find out plenty. I've contributed to many of them in the past, as has Mr. Renzland, so that should get you where you want to be. If not, get back to us and I'll see about digging up some links.

<thinking that he should save a text file with this stuff in it...> :-)

Later,
John

'indiana' is a 'nolnn' and 'hoosier' is a 'solkk'. Indiana doesn't solkk.
