Where Has My Sleep Gone? (OS X)

Message #1 - Posted 2001/04/04 - Michael M. Eilers

Well, #2 on my long list of pet peeves about OS X really gets on my nerves. Under 9.1 my system (G4/500, dual Radeon cards) would "deep sleep" in blissful peace, taking up about 1/10th the power it did before. Under OS X the Sleep command is just plain greyed out, and it will not sleep under any circumstances.

WTF?

WTF?

My Cube sleeps fine on OS X. I just punch the power button on the monitor and it conks right out. Push it again later and it wakes right up.
