Why does ibook keep trying to access CD Drive while asleep?

Message #1 - Posted 2003/12/06 - Bill Damon

My ibook periodically tries to access the CD drive while sleeping. I am running Panther 10.3.1.

Any idea why this happens and what can be done to stop it?

Thanks

Just another of the MANY Mac problems. No problems at all with CD access while my Win XP machines are in Sleep mode.

If you don't have an answer, why did you post?

"John", also known as Wimpboy, is one of the more annoying trolls from comp.sys.mac.advocacy, where his posts consist almost entirely of this sort of drivel. Apparently, he has too much time on his hands, so he decided to "branch out"
